Ghassoul Clay is an earthy cosmetic clay with a smooth mineral feel and a naturally substantial texture. In the hand, it feels fine, dry, and softly weighty rather than light or airy; once mixed, it becomes a dense paste with good slip, making it useful in masks, cleansing powders, soaps, and mineral-led body care. Its identity sits between softness and pull: less severe than stronger green clays, but more present and earthy than pale kaolin.
As it dries, Ghassoul gives the skin a steady clay feel without the sharp, snappy tightness of more aggressive clays. After rinsing, the surface feels cleaner, smoother, and softly matte, with less oiliness and very little coating left behind. It suits formulas where customers want a recognisable clay cleanse with a smoother, more mineral-rich finish. Used at high levels, it can become heavy, muddy, or overly dry, so it works best when balanced with ingredients that add glide or softness.
