Description
Nerol brings a fresh, rosy, citrus-floral, and gently green character, but the material does not remain fixed there. Given time, orange blossom, clean petals, and soft geranium warmth becomes more apparent, changing how it sits beside the rest of the formula.
For rose accords, neroli effects, citrus florals, soaps, lotions, and fine fragrance, formulators can use it to support the accordās floral or aromatic body and make its central idea read more clearly. With Nerol, the rose & citrus effect is most useful when it strengthens the intended accord rather than drawing attention to the raw material itself.
Dose is decisive: excess may push the material towards thin, soapy, or overly floral. A blotter establishes direction, but the finished base shows whether Nerol is supporting the formula or beginning to obscure it.

Uses: Widely and frequently used in perfumery. It lends a freshness to a rose base which cannot be obtained with Geraniol and Citronellol. It also finds use in a variety of sweet-floral fragrance types, Mimosa, Magnolia, Lilac, Neroli, Alpine Violet, Jasmine or in Citrus colognes, Muguet, Orchid, etc. Its effect is perceptible often at one or two percent in the composition.
