Isoamyl Acetate

Isoamyl Acetate is a bright fruity material associated with ripe banana, pear drops and rounded confectionery sweetness. It is closely related to Amyl Acetate, but reads softer, riper and less sharply green, with a fuller candy-like fruit impression.

Its role is to establish an immediately recognisable banana or pear effect in tropical fruits, gourmands and playful fragrance structures. It can lead the accord or round out other volatile fruit esters without supplying much lasting depth.

Keep the level controlled. Too much can make the formula simplistic, solvent-like or overwhelmingly candied. Build in small increments and evaluate after the brightest top-note effect has eased.
