Description
Helional brings a fresh, watery, green, and slightly floral character, but the material does not remain fixed there. Given time, melon rind, airy muguet, and a cool marine trace becomes more apparent, changing how it sits beside the rest of the formula.
Perfumers can draw on it in aquatic accords, green florals, muguet ideas, soaps, shampoos, and fresh fragrances to supply a specific accent, strengthen the central accord, or connect neighbouring materials. With Helional, the marine & green effect is most useful when it strengthens the intended accord rather than drawing attention to the raw material itself.
Evaluate it in the finished base, where any tendency towards metallic, ozonic, or overly watery is easier to judge. A blotter establishes direction, but the finished base shows whether Helional is supporting the formula or beginning to obscure it.

Uses: Extremely useful, aquatic brightening agent that can be used in a wide variety of fragrance forms, a lovely ingredient with a wonderfully fresh, watery quality. Easier to use and dose than most of the green notes available to perfumers, it lasts for a couple of days on a smelling strip so contributes from the top to the base of a fragrance.
