Description

The defining feature of Cinnamic Aldehyde is its movement from hot, sweet, spicy, and unmistakably cinnamon-like to warm bark, balsamic sweetness, and a persistent dry spice trail.

For cinnamon accords, formulators can use it to give the opening lift and definition while separating notes that might otherwise feel blurred. With Cinnamic Aldehyde, the cinnamon & heat effect is most useful when it strengthens the intended accord rather than drawing attention to the raw material itself.

Dose is decisive: excess may push the material towards burning, medicinal, or dominant. A blotter establishes direction, but the finished base shows whether Cinnamic Aldehyde is supporting the formula or beginning to obscure it.
