Description
Yarrow Chamazulene Blue Essential Oil has a dry herbaceous aroma with green yarrow leaf, bitter stem, soft hay, blue botanical warmth, and a faint medicinal edge. It does not behave like a sweet floral oil. The colour may suggest softness, but the scent is more wild herb, dried leaf, and serious botanical depth.
The first impression is green and herbal. In the drydown, the scent becomes hay-like and more bitter, leaving a dry blue-herbal trace that works well in facial oils, balms, creams, soaps, botanical perfumes, herbal accords, and blends with chamomile, blue tansy, helichrysum, lavender, carrot seed, frankincense, myrrh, citrus, or woods.
Yarrow Chamazulene Blue works best in small amounts. Used heavily, it can become medicinal, dusty, bitter, or too herbaceous.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
