Description

Vetiver Essential Oil has a deep earthy aroma with damp root, dark wood, dry smoke, bitter earth, and balsamic depth. It does not behave like a light green grass oil. Vetiver comes from roots, and the scent keeps that underground weight: slow, dark, textured, and persistent.

The opening can feel damp, smoky, and heavy. Once the first lift recedes, the scent becomes drier and woodier, leaving a long root trace that works well in natural perfumes, soaps, beard products, body oils, incense blends, woody bases, amber accords, and blends with citrus, rose, sandalwood, patchouli, cedarwood, labdanum, frankincense, spice, or leather.

Vetiver works best in small amounts. Used lightly, it gives depth and structure. Used heavily, it can become muddy, burnt, swampy, heavy, or too dominant.

Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
