Description
Tansy Blue Essential Oil has a sweet herbaceous aroma with warm fruit, chamomile-like softness, dry botanical depth, and faint green bitterness. It should be clearly distinguished from common tansy. Blue Tansy is the deep blue Tanacetum annuum material, valued for its unusual colour and warm herbal scent profile.
The first impression is sweet, fruity, and plant-rich. As the sharper edge fades, the scent becomes drier and more serious, leaving a blue-chamomile-like trace that works well in facial oils, creams, balms, serums, soaps, natural perfumes, and quiet botanical blends with helichrysum, chamomile, lavender, frankincense, rose, carrot seed, citrus, or woods.
Blue Tansy works best in small amounts. Used heavily, it can become syrupy, dusty, medicinal, or too herbal.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
