Description
Spruce Black Essential Oil has a fresh green aroma with spruce needle, soft balsam, pale resin, and dry conifer wood. It does not behave like harsh pine or deep cedarwood. Black Spruce feels cleaner and more lifted than cedar, but softer and more rounded than many sharp evergreen oils.
The first impression is fresh and needle-green. Later, the scent becomes more resinous and balsamic, leaving a quiet forest residue that works well in soaps, shower products, balms, diffusers, room sprays, massage blends, and conifer accords with cedarwood, fir, pine, juniper, eucalyptus, rosemary, citrus, or frankincense.
Black Spruce works best when its softness is preserved. Used lightly, it gives clean evergreen lift. Used heavily, it can become sharp, resin-heavy, thin, or too coniferous.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
