Description

Black Pepper Essential Oil has a dry spicy aroma with cracked peppercorn, fresh terpenic lift, pale wood, faint resin, and mineral warmth. It does not behave like sweet baking spice. Black Pepper is drier, sharper, and more mobile, giving a blend heat without cinnamon or clove sweetness.

The first impression is fresh and peppery, then the scent settles into woody spice and faint resin. This makes it useful in massage blends, body oils, soaps, natural perfumes, spice accords, woody bases, amber blends, and formulas with citrus, ginger, cardamom, cedarwood, vetiver, patchouli, frankincense, rose, or lavender.

Black Pepper works best as a dry accent. Used lightly, it gives bite and movement. Used heavily, it can become dusty, harsh, thin, or too pepper-grinder obvious.

Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
