Description
Orange Blood Essential Oil has a sweet citrus aroma with bright orange peel, red fruit depth, soft pith, and a tart berry-like undertone. It does not behave exactly like standard Sweet Orange. Blood Orange feels fuller and slightly darker, with the same familiar peel brightness but more fruit body underneath.
The first impression is zesty and recognisably orange. Given a little time, the scent becomes warmer and rounder, leaving a soft red-orange residue that works well in soaps, body oils, creams, candles, room sprays, diffusers, natural perfumes, citrus accords, and spice blends with clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, geranium, lavender, frankincense, myrrh, vanilla, or woods.
Blood Orange works best when it stays bright. Used heavily, it can become syrupy, flat, overly sweet, or too fruit-drink-like.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
