Description

Nutmeg Essential Oil has a warm spicy aroma with sweet nutmeg, pale wood, dry spice dust, and faint aromatic bitterness. It is close to the kitchen spice, but more concentrated and more diffusive, so it needs less room than customers may expect.

The first impression is warm, sweet, and familiar. Once the first lift recedes, the scent becomes drier and woodier, leaving a nutmeg-dust trace that works well in soaps, body oils, massage blends, natural perfumes, spice accords, amber blends, diffusers, and formulas with orange, mandarin, ginger, cardamom, clove, cedarwood, patchouli, vanilla, or resins.

Nutmeg works best in small amounts. Used lightly, it gives soft spice warmth and body. Used heavily, it can become bitter, stale, dusty, or too culinary.

Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
