Description
Niaouli Essential Oil has a fresh camphoraceous aroma with eucalyptus-like lift, sweet pale leaf, dry twig, and a clean medicinal trace. It sits close to eucalyptus and cajeput, but it usually feels softer and a little sweeter than the sharper eucalyptus oils.
The first impression is airy and immediately clean. With time, the scent becomes leafier and drier, leaving a pale vapour residue that works well in soaps, shower products, balms, diffusers, room sprays, massage blends, fresh botanical formulas, and blends with tea tree, eucalyptus, cajeput, myrtle, lavender, rosemary, citrus, or pine.
Niaouli works best when its freshness stays controlled. Used lightly, it gives clean lift and soft herbal vapour. Used heavily, it can become sharp, thin, medicinal, or too eucalyptus-like.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
