Description
Myrtle Essential Oil has a fresh green aroma with soft camphor, pale leaf, dry twig, and gentle sweetness. It sits near eucalyptus in customer recognition, but it usually feels less forceful and less clinical. Myrtle gives clean lift without the same hard medicinal blast.
The first impression is airy, green, and slightly camphoraceous. In the drydown, the scent becomes softer and more herbal, leaving a pale leaf residue that works well in soaps, creams, lotions, body oils, shower products, diffusers, room sprays, and herbal blends with eucalyptus, tea tree, rosemary, lavender, citrus, cypress, pine, or soft herbs.
Myrtle works best when its gentleness is preserved. Used lightly, it gives clear botanical freshness. Used heavily, it can become medicinal, thin, sharp, or too cineole-like.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
