Description
Marjoram Essential Oil has a warm herbaceous aroma with soft pepper, pale camphor, dried leaf, and faint sweet spice. It does not behave like sharp oregano or fresh mint. Marjoram feels rounder, quieter, and more softly savoury, with a dried-herb familiarity that settles close to the blend.
The first impression is fresh, peppery, and herbal, then the scent becomes drier and warmer. This makes Marjoram useful in massage blends, body oils, soaps, bath products, diffusers, herbal perfumes, spice-herb accords, and blends with lavender, rosemary, basil, thyme, bergamot, cedarwood, frankincense, or citrus.
Marjoram works best in moderation. Used lightly, it gives warm herbal softness. Used heavily, it can become medicinal, flat, overly culinary, or too herb-cupboard familiar.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
