Description
Juniper Leaf Essential Oil has a sharp green aroma with pine needle, dry twig, resin, and woody bitterness. It should not be confused with Juniper Berry, which usually feels rounder, spicier, and more gin-like. Juniper Leaf is greener, rougher, and more functional.
The first impression is strong and coniferous, then the scent settles into dry wood and resin dust. This makes it useful in soaps, room sprays, diffusers, cleaning-style blends, forest accords, shaving products, and woody perfumes where a formula needs needle freshness rather than soft aromatic lift.
Juniper Leaf works best in small amounts. Used lightly, it gives a clear evergreen bite. Used heavily, it can become harsh, bitter, turpentine-like, or too close to cleaning-product pine.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
