Description
Frankincense Essential Oil (Organic) has a fresh resinous aroma with pale citrus peel, peppered lift, dry wood, soft balsam, and incense-like air. It does not behave like myrrh or opoponax. Frankincense is brighter, drier, and more lifted, with resin that begins upward before settling into a quiet base.
The first impression is fresh and slightly lemony. After the initial impression, the scent becomes drier and more woody, leaving a pale incense residue that works well in facial oils, body oils, balms, creams, soaps, natural perfumes, incense blends, diffusers, and formulas with citrus, lavender, myrrh, sandalwood, cedarwood, patchouli, vetiver, rose, or spice. It suits quieter rituals and compositions intended to feel spacious, composed, and reflective without relying on heavy smoke.
Organic status supports sourcing expectations, not a different scent. Used heavily, frankincense can become dusty, sharp, sour-resinous, or too church-like.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
