Description
Bergamot Essential Oil (Organic) has a bright citrus aroma with green peel, bitter pith, soft floral lift, and a faint Earl Grey tea trace. It does not behave like sweet orange or lemon. Bergamot feels more structured: citrus first, then a dry floral-green edge that keeps the sweetness restrained.
The first impression is fresh and peel-bright. In the drydown, the scent becomes drier and more tea-like, leaving a clean citrus residue that works well in soaps, creams, lotions, body oils, colognes, diffusers, room sprays, natural perfumes, and blends with neroli, lavender, geranium, rose, cedarwood, frankincense, patchouli, or other citrus oils.
Organic status speaks to sourcing, not a different smell. Used heavily, bergamot can become bitter, thin, cleaner-like, or too cologne-obvious. For leave-on skin products, treat standard cold-pressed bergamot with appropriate phototoxicity limits.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
