St Johns Wort Essential Oil (Organic) has a dry herbal aroma with green leaf, pale earth, soft hay, and faint botanical bitterness. It should be described carefully because St John’s Wort is often sold as an infused oil, while the essential oil or volatile fraction is a more specialist aromatic material.
The first impression is green and earthy.
