Description
Sandalwood Australian Essential Oil (Organic) has a dry woody aroma with warm balsam, faint earth, soft resin, and a lightly smoky sandalwood trace. It does not behave like the creamier Indian type. Australian Sandalwood feels drier, more structural, and a little more rugged, with wood grain showing through the softness.
The first impression is woody and balsamic, then the scent settles into a longer, quieter base. This makes it useful in natural perfumes, body oils, balms, soaps, beard products, incense blends, woody bases, and blends with rose, jasmine, vanilla, citrus, patchouli, vetiver, frankincense, cedarwood, or spice. It is particularly suited to compositions intended to feel calm, intimate, and understated rather than loudly woody or conventionally masculine.
Organic status supports sourcing expectations, not a different smell. Used lightly, Australian Sandalwood gives warmth and continuity. Used heavily, it can become dusty, flat, dry, or too resinous.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
