Description
Sandalwood Australian Essential Oil has a dry woody aroma with warm balsam, faint earth, soft resin, and a lightly smoky sandalwood trace. It does not behave like the creamier Indian type. Australian Sandalwood feels drier, more structural, and a little more rugged, with wood grain showing through the softness.
The first impression is woody and balsamic, then the scent settles into a longer, quieter base. This makes it useful in natural perfumes, body oils, balms, soaps, beard products, incense blends, woody bases, and blends with rose, jasmine, vanilla, citrus, patchouli, vetiver, frankincense, cedarwood, or spice.
Australian Sandalwood works best when used for dry support and longevity. Used lightly, it gives warmth and continuity. Used heavily, it can become dusty, flat, dry, or too resinous.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
