Description
Rue Essential Oil has a sharp bitter-green aroma with acrid herb, medicinal leaf, dry vapour, and a slightly fruity botanical edge. It does not behave like a friendly green herb oil. Rue is harsher, more difficult, and inseparable from its safety concerns.
The first impression is bitter and penetrating. Later, the scent becomes drier and more medicinal, leaving a sharp herbal residue. Because Ruta graveolens is associated with phototoxic skin reactions, Rue Essential Oil should not be positioned for casual skincare, pet care, home use, wellness routines, or general aromatherapy. Any use belongs only in specialist, professionally controlled formulation contexts with suitable safety documentation, regulatory guidance, and conservative exposure limits.
Rue’s aromatic value is narrow. Its safety boundary is the main identity.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
