Description
Kokum Butter is a hard, drier butter that adds structure without the same heavy coating associated with softer butters. It starts firm, melts cleanly, and leaves a smoother finish that can help rich formulas feel less greasy.
It works well in balms, body bars, creams and solid body products where firmness matters. Its cleaner after-feel is useful when a product needs body without an overly oily finish. It does not give much plushness on its own, so softer butters or oils may be needed for cushion. Used too heavily, Kokum Butter can make products feel stiff, brittle or less creamy than customers expect.
