Description
Babassu Oil is similar to Coconut Oil in that it comes from palm fruit, is solid at room temperature, melts on skin contact and contains the same vitamins and fatty acids. However, it does have some advantages over Coconut such as it is lighter in consistency and it's improved absorption rate into the skin and hair without leaving a greasy residue. In addition to its ability to deeply moisturise skin, Babassu oil is also anti-microbial, provides a good amount of vitamin E which aids in cell regeneration and is rich in lauric acid, the main component in Babassu oil which is naturally anti-inflammatory.
Shelf life: Users can expect a shelf life of 24 months with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended
