Description

Anethi Essential Oil, also known as East Indian Dill Seed Oil, has a fresh, sweet, herbaceous aroma with a dry seed warmth underneath. It is cleaner than many spice oils, but less airy than leafy herbs, with a caraway-like edge that gives it a savoury, practical character.

The first impression is bright and herbal, but it soon settles into dill seed, mild spice, and a slightly earthy dryness. This makes it useful in soaps, cleansing body products, herbal diffuser blends, spice accords, and natural perfumery where a formula needs freshness with more texture.

Anethi is distinctive, so it works best in small amounts. Used lightly, it gives blends a clean green-spiced lift. Used heavily, it can become too culinary, briny, or pickle-like, leaving a dry seedy note behind.

Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
