Description
Ylang Ylang 3rd Essential Oil has a dense sweet floral aroma with yellow flower, oily warmth, waxy petal, and long floral sweetness. It does not behave like the brighter first fraction. The 3rd fraction is heavier, less airy, and more useful when a product needs ylang body to remain through the base.
The first impression is sweet and thick. As the sharper edge fades, the scent becomes warmer and waxier, leaving a persistent yellow-flower residue that works well in soaps, body oils, creams, hair products, natural perfumes, tropical bases, amber florals, and blends with patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla, benzoin, labdanum, jasmine, rose, cedarwood, or spice.
Ylang Ylang 3rd needs restraint. Used heavily, it can become oily, cloying, overripe, waxy, or too heavy.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
