Description
Rose Geranium Essential Oil has a rosy-green aroma with leafy flower, soft stem, faint mint, and clean botanical sweetness. It does not behave like Rose Otto. The rose impression is there, but it comes through aromatic geranium leaf rather than delicate rose petal, which gives the oil more freshness and structure.
The first impression is floral and green, then the scent settles into softer stem and clean sweetness. This makes Rose Geranium useful in creams, lotions, soaps, body oils, bath products, diffusers, natural perfumes, and floral-herbal blends with lavender, bergamot, palmarosa, rose, patchouli, cedarwood, clary sage, or citrus.
Rose Geranium works best when the leafy edge is allowed to show. Used lightly, it gives rosy lift and clean body-care familiarity. Used heavily, it can become sharp, soapy, leafy, or over-rosy.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
