Description

Pimento Leaf Essential Oil has a warm spicy aroma with clove-like bite, dry leaf, phenolic heat, faint sweetness, and woody spice underneath. It does not behave like soft ground allspice. The leaf oil is sharper, rawer, and more eugenol-forward, with a spice character that can dominate quickly.

The first impression is hot and clove-like. With time, the scent becomes drier and woodier, leaving a phenolic spice residue that works well in soaps, spice accords, incense-style blends, masculine fragrances, autumn formulas, and natural perfumes with orange, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, black pepper, patchouli, cedarwood, vanilla, or resins.

Pimento Leaf needs restraint. Used lightly, it gives warm spice structure. Used heavily, it can become harsh, medicinal, hot, or overpowering.

Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
