Description
Cognac Green Essential Oil is a distinctive perfumery material with a dry, tart, wine-like aroma and a sharp green apple edge. It does not smell like smooth drinking cognac or sweet liqueur. It feels closer to fermented grape skin, wine lees, green fruit, grassy sharpness, and a faint oily-fatty undertone.
The first impression is bright, tart, and slightly alcoholic. As the sharper edge fades, the scent becomes drier, deeper, and more persistent, leaving a vinous residue that can give natural perfumes, boozy accords, green florals, chypre-style blends, tobacco notes, leather accents, and experimental citrus work a more lived-in character.
Cognac Green is best used in small amounts. Used lightly, it adds lift, tartness, and unusual depth. Used too heavily, it can become sour, fatty, dull, or unpleasant on its own, overpowering the blendās cleaner structure.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
