Description
Basil Linalool Essential Oil (Organic) has a fresh green aroma with soft basil leaf, clean herb, pale floral warmth, faint pepper, and gentle woody residue. It does not behave like Basil Chavicol. The linalool chemotype is smoother, less liquorice-like, and easier to place in body care or herbal-floral blends.
The first impression is leafy and clean. As it develops, the character becomes softer and slightly floral, leaving a green basil trace that works well in soaps, creams, lotions, body oils, shampoos, natural perfumes, room sprays, diffusers, and blends with lavender, clary sage, bergamot, lemon, petitgrain, rosemary, geranium, cedarwood, coriander, or mint.
Organic status supports sourcing expectations, not a different scent. Used heavily, Basil Linalool can become soapy, thin, overly herbal, or slightly medicinal.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
