Description
Basil Essential Oil has a fresh green herbal aroma with a peppery bite and a subtle sweet-spiced undertone. It first reads as quickly, like crushed basil leaves in the hand, but the oil feels sharper and more concentrated than the fresh herb itself.
Once the first lift recedes, the green edge softens and a faint aniseed-like warmth can appear underneath. This gives Basil its useful tension: clean and herbal, but not flat; fresh, but not minty. It fits naturally into soaps, shower products, herbal diffuser blends, massage oils, and natural perfumery where a blend needs lift and clearer definition.
Basil is best used carefully. In small amounts, it gives brightness and green movement. Used too heavily, it can become sharp, medicinal, or overly liquorice-like, leaving a stronger herbal trace than expected.
Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
