Description

Hiba Wood Essential Oil has a dry woody aroma with cedar-like sawdust, faint sweetness, earthy warmth, and a slightly phenolic edge. It does not behave like bright conifer needle oils. Hiba sits lower and drier, with the feeling of old timber, clean wooden interiors, and pale dust caught in the grain.

The first impression is dry and woody, then the scent settles into a quieter earthy sweetness that lasts underneath brighter materials. This makes Hiba useful in soaps, woody perfumes, incense accords, beard products, room blends, natural home fragrance, and compositions using cedarwood, hinoki, vetiver, patchouli, frankincense, citrus, or smoke.

Hiba works best when used as a dry wooden support. Used heavily, it can become dusty, phenolic, dry, or too furniture-shop-like.

Essential oils can be applied topically once diluted with a carrier oil. They are widely used in cosmetic goods and handmade crafts.
