A Good Night's Rest
Today we're here for one reason and one reason only, and that's to help everyone sleep. I'm sure we all understand how vital a good nights rest can be, especially with the busy lives we all lead today. We're going to recommend to you some of our best essential oils. The list below is in no particular order.
Lavender
No surprises here, it's a classic. Lavender can relieve all kinds of stress and relax you, which will certainly help to put you to sleep. It is even known to provide mild pain relief and improve overall skin health. This floral sensation is brimming with uses, and also smells delightful.
Frankincense
Frankincense is an excellent addition to your bedtime routine. It's incredible at relaxing the mind and can even reduce joint pains. Are you feeling a little bit achy? Well say no more, get some Frankincense in!
Cedarwood
Cedarwood is known to have energising properties that can increase concentration levels. Still, it can also relieve stress and tension due to its ability to cloak the body in a shroud of calmness.
Valerian Root
Smell wise Valerian root is undoubtedly different. That's the general consensus, but the benefits far outweigh the smell. It's one of the most popular essential oils for sleep, and countless numbers of studies showcase just how great it is. It naturally aids sleep, calms anxiety, lowers blood pressure and can help with muscle spasms.
Ylang Ylang
Ylang Ylang can reduce anxiety, stress and can help fight depression. Similar to Frankincense, it can also reduce joint and muscle pains. It is known for its aphrodisiac qualities; it naturally increases your libido and lifts your mood, which is fantastic. That could certainly help you sleep!
How to use Essential Oils
Use a Diffuser - add a few drops and turn it on. Please put it on before bedtime and drift off into a sleepy slumber.
Inhale – add about ten drops of oil to a bowl of warm water. Stir well and then inhale. Do this for a good 5 minutes, and this should induce a mode of sleepiness.
Application – you can apply these oils to your chest, temples, forehead, back of your neck or even on the soles of your feet. It's always best to dilute the oils in a carrier oil first, so I'd recommend Jojoba. But it would be cost-effective to get some almond sweet!
Sleep Spray – Add your chosen essential oils to Witch Hazel, give it a shake and then spray this onto your pillow. As your face is in direct contact with your pillow, I wouldn't recommend using any more than 2% of essential oil(s) in your mixture.
I hope this gives you all the help you need and if it hasn't, please don't hesitate to let us know. Oh yeah one more thing, here at Mystic Moments we already have a blend tailored to help you sleep. It's called Sleep Assisting (we like to think outside the box).
